The Event

This Is What Patriots Day Has Accomplished Thanks to Our Generous Sponsors and Donors

• Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity created to provide financial support to Student Veterans at CU Boulder. The administration of CVS, Inc. is 100% voluntary. No one receives any salary or other remuneration. All of the money raised, after the expenses of holding the Patriots Day event are paid, goes to the Student Veterans.
• The event started in 2014 and in twelve years, it has raised $1,400,000. The Patriots Day event not only raises money but it also demonstrates strong support for the veterans who have put off their education to serve our nation.
• Funds raised to date have been used to provide approximately 150 scholarships and helped to fund the ambassador program and the summer and winter bridge program.
• The ambassador program pairs an upper class Student Veteran with an incoming veteran student to help guide them to a successful start at CU.
• The summer bridge program provides counseling and tutoring to incoming Student Veterans to assist them in the transition from military to academic life.
• We have also created the Colorado Veterans Support Endowed Scholarship Fund which has a current principal balance of over $850,000. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support to full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are veterans of the United States Armed Forces in perpetuity.
